HOW TO RIDE

All are welcome. Regardless of your age, gender, sexuality, and cultural background, you are invited to participate however you feel most comfortable. We are doing all we can to make the ride safe and accessible for all demographics. That said it is normal to feel self conscious and vulnerable when considering the ride, and can be nice to bring friends.

BODY PAINTING

4pm near Makeshift

Although body painting is optional, it's a lot of fun, and it's a great way to get to know each other before the ride. We encourage you to bring paints, sunscreen, and snacks to share. For those wielding cameras or smart phones, please understand that in order to help all of us feel safe, there will be no photography allowed during this time, except in the photo zone. If anyone makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe during the event, please let our security guards know - you will be able to spot them by their bright orange traffic vests. Also, please let us know any accessibility concerns you might have, and how we can help!

RIDE

6pm

After getting painted, socializing, and humoring vendors, we will start lining up for the ride. We encourage folks who are less comfortable on bicycles to line up first - this will help us stay together. If you experience any problems or need help during the ride, our appointed Ride Shepards will be there to help. Although we discourage spectators from taking pictures and videos during the ride, unfortunately we are unable to prevent onlookers from using the cameras in a public setting, so expect some degree of camera-clicking.

After Ride - Live Music, Block Party

We will be closing the street directly in front of Makeshift Gallery, (306 Flora).  There will be awesome live music and experiential art.  Come prepared with lots of energy, friends, some cash for vendors, and, if you can, a donation to keep the ride rollin'!.
